“Parliaments” explores the central role that parliament plays in a democracy. It describes what a parliament is and what it does, including in times of crisis. It explains why parliaments should be more inclusive of women, youth, Indigenous people, and people from minorities groups, and gives examples of how that is happening around the world. It also describes ways that parliament can encourage the participation of the people it represents.
